PUBLIC NOTICE – TEMPORARY ROAD DISRUPTIONS

ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT

MONDAY, JULY 21 TO FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 2025 (estimated)

Tender C-2025-01 – Resolution #25-263

The Municipality of Temagami has awarded a road resurfacing contract to Miller Paving Limited, with engineering oversight provided by Tulloch Engineering. Work is scheduled to begin:

Start Date: Monday, July 21, 2025

Estimated Completion: Friday, August 1, 2025 - (Subject to weather, contractor progress, and unforeseen site conditions.)

Construction will occur daily between approximately 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with adjustments as needed based on conditions and site requirements.

Affected Road Segments:

  • Stevens Road
  • Fox Run Road
  • White Bear Court
  • Portion of Goward Avenue
  • Portion of Hillcrest Drive
  • Portion of Alder Lane

What You Can Expect:

  • Temporary lane closures, delays, and restricted access to driveways or parking areas
  • Detours and traffic control personnel onsite to assist with safe passage
  • Temporary disruption to on-street parking – unauthorized vehicles may be relocated
  • Construction noise, equipment, and dust during active working hours
  • Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times

  • Respect signage, barricades, and flag personnel at all times
  • Avoid entering the construction zone unless authorized
  • Drive cautiously in and around work areas – reduced speeds protect everyone

The Municipality of Temagami, its contractors, and agents are not responsible for injuries, vehicle damage, property damage, or delays resulting from:

  • Not following posted instructions or detour routes
  • Surface conditions such as gravel, asphalt milling, or construction debris
